Linett Luna Tovar [pronouns: she/her/Ella] is an illegalized writer, actress, and educator. Her work, always political, explores themes of culture, feminism, and [im]migration, often with a healthy dose of humor. Linett’s writing has been featured in various publications, and she has performed at The dA Center for the Arts, UCLA, Ashé Cultural Arts Center, and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Museum. She recently helped co-produce the first collection of text and visual art by immigrant youth in New Orleans, El Camino a mi Libertad: NOLA Immigrant Youth Speak, with proceeds benefiting the Immigrant Youth Empowerment Forum Scholarship Fund. She lives in Pomona, California, where she facilitates creative writing workshops and gets high on life by hiking with her dog Anubis.
