To give is to grow. For two decades the Ashé Cultural Arts Center has committed itself to be the preeminent African Diasporic cultural arts center in New Orleans and the South, welcoming guests of all creeds, colors and connotations. A donation helps us continue the work of culture and art as both medicine for inequity and the foundation of humanity.

The purpose of Ashé’s membership program is to ultimately create a community of dedicated ambassadors and to help us maintain operations for the long term. Ashé upholds its mission to use art and culture to support human, community, and economic development by creating and nurturing networks of love, knowledge, and action that connect you to new opportunities with those who have a variety of interests and talents; all while celebrating the people, places, and philosophies of the African Diaspora.

Whether you kick it with us only once a year for your favorite signature event, or drop by every week to see what’s new on the walls or in the boutique, we’d love to invite you into the Ashé family! In addition to the cool perks of members-only pricing and experiences, joining us is beneficial in so many ways. We love socializing to gain cultural awareness and exploring social justice issues, while supporting charitable causes and sharing education. Intentional and intimate member connections to our work is key to Ashé’s value and impact. With your generous support, we are able to produce cultural programming, hire qualified staff, maintain our assets, and plan member-only events for you!

We have fun at Ashé! Of course, there’s the feel-good stuff that comes with doing good and being good, but we also like to pass a good time by enriching our lives through taking an active role in the world we live in. At Ashé, each volunteer opportunity has its own set of tasks, some that might require you to learn new skills and challenge yourself while being open to gaining knowledge and understanding of art, culture, and people.
