In response to outrageous racial health disparities, several New Orleans cultural and health organizations have banded together to launch a counteroffensive aimed at saving the lives and livelihoods of the people left unprotected by systemic racism in the health and wellness field.

We call it Community Spread. This program is designed to train artists and culture bearers to be community health workers (CHWs) with expertise in maternal and child health, mental health, violence prevention, reproductive justice, wellness coaching, and economic empowerment.
