25th Annual NCA MLK JR. Exhibition: A Gift of Love

Featured artwork: Antoine Prince, Fear No Evil. Acrylic on Canvas, 36 x 48 inches.

About the exhibition:

A GIFT OF LOVE

The exhibition inspiration is from Dr. King's collection of writings in a book titled A Gift of Love: Sermons from Strength to Love and Other Preachings. The visual artists’ works are based on their visual expression or interpretation of Dr. King's political, poetic literature found in the book. We hope you can see each artist's love in creating their artwork, using material, and selecting subject matter. In New Orleans and worldwide collectively, we are witnessing significant challenges to human life and still we continue as artists of various styles to tell our story.

We proudly represent the National Conference of Artists New Orleans Chapter. I want to thank the incredible artists participating in the A Gift of Love exhibition; New Orleans Chapter of NCA members who remain loyal to the task; and the National Conference of Artists’ exhibition coordinator, Charlie T. Johnson. I also acknowledge Ashé' Cultural Arts Center and its outstanding team for supporting this exhibition and the New Orleans community.
