This performance will be a collection of songs, dances, and freestyle speech on affirmations of healing, sovereignty, and introspection.
Jarrad is a Black Indigenous 7th Ward creative with a passion for storytelling and movement with work that focuses on the bridge between African and Turtle Island Indigenous cultures that define their ethnic community.
On my way: under my ancestors wildest dream

Under My Ancestors Wildest Dream is a Multidisciplinary one woman show that explores life's transitions, sexual identity, and religion. Told through Simone Immanuel’s life experiences, the show unpacks the questions: Who am I? What should I choose to be? What does society tell me to be? and What does it mean to be Human?
Simone is from New Orleans, Louisiana and made her Off Broadway debut last year in the play 7 Minutes by Stefano Massini. Simone’s play I’m Gonna Let it Shine was a Kennedy Center John Cauble award finalist and she is currently an Artist at Work Resident at Ashé Cultural Arts Center.
Fragile

Fragile is a small snippet into the life of a Black femme bodied non- binary human (Phinrus) that is struggling with mental health–a journey of self awareness, hurt and disconnection.
Ross (they/them) is a 23 year old Black queer New Orleanian anarchist connoisseur of the arts and an active advocate for social justice and giving back to the community.
